I was fortunate to live in Boston's North End for nearly nine years - that's been over 10 years ago now. I currently live in Chicago, yet I still make a trip to Philip's Salon about once a year to get a haircut from Maria. Not only is she the best hair stylist I've encountered in 46 years, but I feel like I'm with family when I visit Philip's Salon. Both Maria and Doreen (also an excellent sytlist) have felt like members of my extended family for many years now.
